The Thing

Lena von Lapschina

It isn't Mozart's Papageno or bird that he captures in a tree. It isn't Tarantino's Kiddo, or Kill Bill, or Robin Hood, and it isn't a gangster. It isn't a menacing freedom fighter and it isn't a terrorist. It is a fragile composition that combines all the elements of the eternal state of 'the hunter and the hunted'. Like the never-ending epic drama of revenge, full of inner struggles and violence, that takes place inside us all. It is a being somewhere beyond, between the eternal hunter, fighting to survive, and the hunted, running to escape.
